Making a cistern lid
A cold-water cistern should have a lid to keep out dirt and pests and to improve insulation. If it does not have one, make one from chipboard about un (25mm) larger aN round than the cistern top. Glue a sheet of expanded polystyrene to the underside, to fit exactly into the top.
